Artist’s Statement

I make functional, durable, elegant furniture. Each piece is designed with and for the clients. I attempt to show the beauty of natural wood, and use traditional joinery designed to last generations. I often like to combine different contrasting and complimentary woods in my pieces.

About the Artist

I was born in San Diego in 1947. I am an identical twin.I started college at university of Illinois, Champaign, then moved and went to San Jose State. I am a self taught woodworker, making furniture and cabinetwork since 1975. All my work is by commission. I have lived in Santa Cruz since 1996, participate in Open Studios there every year. I am a founding member of Santa Cruz woodworkers.
