Artist’s Statement

Layers represent history, memory, and a sense of time and place. My work is inspired by this passage of time. Layering printed plates and historical elements gradually builds complex strata, creating a narrative representing past and present.

Influenced by the coastal environment where I live, I am drawn to patterns in thought and design, personal narrative, the patina of time, geometry, and the connections I am able to make within that realm.
